Our journey began in a small living.room in Hamilton Square, NJ in the late 80s. Wedding band mates, Rob Traegler and Jay Lippincott realized they had a love and a knack for writing original music. Over the next few years, along with several guest musicians, they created a different, new sound while creating a library of original songs that would basically sit on a shelf for years.

In the mid 90s, their library grew and the songs were diverse and quite original. They began to play live as cover band with additional members, Harry Cox, Beverly Foxx and the late Skip Sica on keyboards., Their sets would be interspersed with their original tunes to satisfied audiences. In the mid 90s, their library grew and the songs were diverse and quite original. They began to play live as cover band with additional members, Harry Cox, Beverly Foxx and the late Skip Sica on keyboards., Their sets would be interspersed with their original tunes to satisfied audiences. As the century turned, Jay and his wife, Beverly Foxx, moved to Tampa while Rob yearned for life in LA, having lived there briefly in 1982. Despite being 'Miles Apart' , Rob and Jay still continued to write and record original songs thanks to advanced technology.

Over the years, starting in 2022, INDIVIDUAL SHADOWS began releasing their songs to the world on Spotify, Apple Music and others. Their first album "Greatest Hits" was followed by "Miles Apart". Two years later, they released the albums "Unfinished Business", " Lost Shadows", "New Hits and Remixes" and "Just the Love Songs" in the first
Over the years, starting in 2022, INDIVIDUAL SHADOWS began releasing their songs to the world on Spotify, Apple Music and others. Their first album "Greatest Hits" was followed by "Miles Apart". Two years later, they released the albums "Unfinished Business", " Lost Shadows", "New Hits and Remixes" and "Just the Love Songs" in the first two months of 2026. Plans for an upcoming recording session in Tampa will definitely yield a lot of new material. Each song has a story behind it, just ask Rob or Jay.
